Or ride over to Ratlinghope (pronounced Ratchup)to visit the grave of the last Sin Eater restored in 2010. Or, for serious riders, keep on riding on the circular loop brushing Shrewsbury and use up 1100 calories in the process.
For downhill riders there is the international cycling course at Eastridge Woods and over on the Long Mynd there are multiple well waymarked tracks which can be linked together, and maps can be obtained from local cycle stores if required. There are good cycle shops nearby in Church Stretton, Marshbrook, and Bishops Castle. Check out this video of the beautiful rides off-road. If you are interested in cycling but don’t bring your own then mountain bikes can be hired from The MTB Centre at the Station Hotel Marshbrook (where there are shower facilities for after!). In Bishops Castle New Street Cycles hire out pedal cycles by the day or half day for exploring the local roads.
